MIVCC

The Mountain Ingenuity Venture Capital Club (MIVCC) provides investors, entrepreneurs, and service providers from eastern Kentucky, southern West Virginia, and southwest Virginia with a forum to discuss financial and entrepreneurial opportunities. The Club brings local investors together for a first-hand opportunity to hear about innovative new business ventures developed through the ingenuity of mountain residents. The ultimate goal of MIVCC is to build a strong and stable mountain economy by creating wealth and supporting entrepreneurs, thereby keeping Appalachian wealth in Appalachia.

The Pike County Chamber of Commerce and the Pikeville Area Innovation Center have partnered with business leaders and state and local agencies to create the MIVCC, a non-profit organization. The quarterly MIVCC meetings are open to anyone interested in learning more about local and regional entrepreneurial investments.

MIVCC members meet in a casual, relaxed environment to hear about select early-stage business proposals. The Club provide members with expert instruction on the venture capital process and angel investing by inviting guest speakers to share their insights and by holding seminars developed for both investors and entrepreneurs.
